Jersey Cyber Security Centre (JCSC) and Soteria Communications are hosting a series of cyber simulation events specifically designed to support the hospitality, charity, SMEs and finance industries to improve levels of cyber security awareness, understanding and preparedness in Jersey.

These Cyber Incident Response Exercises are designed to support sectors and businesses to think about how they need to prepare their business IT and systems infrastructure, and how to up-skill their teams in order to protect against cyber events. These sessions focus on a simulated incident, so they also give attendees the chance to understand how cyber events can affect their organisation.

Events take place throughout the year, with these events taking place to coincide with Cyber Security Awareness Month:

  • Accountancy: Friday 4 October, 9.30am
  • Hospitality: Monday 7 October, 2.30pm
  • Institute of Directors: Monday 14 October, 2.30pm
  • Small businesses: Monday 21 October, 2.30pm
  • Finance: Monday 28 October, 2.30pm

These event are free to attend and are kindly sponsored by JT Global and Appleby.

During the sessions, attendees will have the chance to experience a simulated cyber security attack in a safe environment and have access to advice from a panel of experts, including JCSC, Jersey Office of the Information Commissioners, as well as technical providers and legal council. Attendees will leave with a series of practical steps they can take to protect their business, and information to help them prepare their incident management plans and incident communications.
